Director Balaji Sakthivel has special penchant for reality. He had shown this in his previous venture Kaathal. Now his Kalloori, which will be released by the first week of December, too is said to be a realistic fare. How does he achieve this?

The insiders say that he never allowed the actors to ‘act’. Instead, he had asked them to talk, walk, dance, and behave as they would do in their respective collages. He briefed them about the movie, the characters, and the way the script moves on. Then he asked them to be as realistic as they could in translating the script in action.

It is but natural that newcomers feeling nervous. Balaji moved with them like a friend to make them feel at ease. He ensured that they behave naturally before the camera instead of trying to act. The effort has worked out amazingly.

Balaji’s secret of success is that he believes in the creativity and sincerity of the artists. He just guides them. The result just happens.
